Occasional double crossover in 2R if X and 3 are heterozygous for inversions. MacIntyre and Wright (FBrf0017571) found no recombination between In(2LR)SM1 and al dpy P{w.bcd.2.5}b pr cn P{lexA.w.240}c px speck in females heterozygous for In(1)sc8 and In(3LR)TM2. Nondisjunction of compound autosomes occurs in SM1/+ females (FBrf0020617); balancer shows interchromosomal effect (FBrf0025068). Reliable balancer for all of chromosome 2.
