Many TM3 chromosomes are no longer y+ as reported in FBrf0066905.
With normal X and 2, all of chromosome 3 is effectively balanced; however, in the presence of FM6 and SM5, crossing over between y+ and kni (i.e., 61A2-65E) is appreciable. Not es according to Craymer (FBrf0063385). Some TM3 stocks have lost y+ (Shearn, FBrf0034377).
Transmission rate of Dp(1;f)J21A through females to progeny is 28%, FM7c balancer chromosome has no effect on transmission.
