AlphaFold produces a per-residue confidence score (pLDDT) between 0 and 100. Some regions with low pLDDT may be unstructured in isolation.

The testis specificity index was calculated from modENCODE tissue expression data by Vedelek et al., 2018 to indicate the degree of testis enrichment compared to other tissues. Scores range from -2.52 (underrepresented) to 5.2 (very high testis bias).

Please Note This section lists cDNAs and ESTs that fall within the genomic extent of the gene model, which may include cDNAs and ESTs of genes within introns, or of overlapping genes. Please see JBrowse for alignment of the cDNAs and ESTs to the gene model.
For each fully sequenced cDNA the DGRC maintains various forms of the cDNA (e.g tagged or untagged) in several different host vectors for subsequent cloning and expression in Drosophila and Drosophila cell lines.

Annotation CG31210 (which was eliminated in release 5.36 of the genome annotation) overlaps the same region of the genome as annotation CG4836, but on the opposite strand.

'Srd' ('Sorbitol dehydrogenase') was a non-sequenced localized gene mapping to 91B-F and associated with a single reference (FBrf0056264). Gene Ontology analysis and ortholog analysis agree there are three Dmel genes encoding Sorbitol dehydrogenases: 'Sodh-1' (84B2), 'Sodh-2' (86C7) and CG4836 (92C1). These data indicate that the 'Srd' gene is identical to the 'CG4836' annotation. (The 'Srd' symbol has not been retained as: (i) the FBrf0056264 paper does not use this symbol, (ii) it doesn't match the symbol prefix of the other two related genes; (iii) it's easily confused with the unrelated 'srd' gene.)

Named as 'Sorbitol dehydrogenase like' (Sordl) because it is predicted to encode a catalytically inactive SORD enzyme.
