Comments concerning this interaction

Source was cell extract of S2R+ cell line; bait produced from transfected construct; prey produced from transfected construct.

The C-terminal region of Mer interacts with the N-terminal region of Mer. This intramolecular interaction presumably regulates the activity of Mer, and explains why C-terminal truncations of Mer exhibit gain-of-function activity.
