Comments concerning this interaction

Treatment of cells with hh conditioned medium decreased the smo-Smurf interaction. Mutating PKA phospho target residues 667,687,740 in smo from S to A rendered the smo-Smurf interaction refractive to hh signaling. The smo-Smurf interaction also requires Gprk2 activity and regulation of smo-Smurf via Gprk2 requires the N-terminus of Smurf.

Source was cell extract of S2 cell line; bait produced from transfected construct; prey produced from transfected construct.
