The following information accompanied stocks donated to the Bloomington Stock Center by Flora Katz, Texas A&M University (9/01).
fjN7 (FBal0127230) was derived from P{lacW}fj9-II (FBal0045640) by imprecise excision. It is a complex rearrangement that retains the lacZ marker. lacZ expression is stronger than in the parental enhancer trap. It gives a loss of cells between the crossveins of the wing similar to strong fj alleles.
dGC2 is a weak hypomorph with respect to growth and segmentation, but gives a strong malformed leg phenotype. It was generated in Michael Hoffmann's lab by gamma mutagenesis. It has a deletion in a unique N-terminal pre-head domain that removes a leucine zipper.
dGC13 was generated in the same irradiation screen and has an eleven base pair deletion in the myosin head domain that causes a frameshift and stop codon. It acts like a null allele.
d210 (FBal0127240) was also generated in Michael Hoffmanns lab by EMS treatment. It has a point mutation causing a stop codon in the myosin head domain.
