Dear Dr Quilton,
The Abd-B-Gal4(LDN) line was isolated as a conversion (P-element swapping) of
the
Abd-B-lacZ line described in Estrada et al. Development 129, 5195-5204 (2002).
Both are inserted at position 48,957 of the bithorax complex (coordinates
according to Martin et al. Proc. Natl. Acad. Sci. U.S.A. 92, 8398-8402 (1995).
Do not hesitate to ask me for any other information you require. I hope I may
publish in the near future a manuscript describing the isolation of this and
other gal4 lines and that people may then be directed to this publication for
more information.
Sincerely,
Ernesto Sanchez-Herrero
