Enhancer trap expression is detected in the epidermal cells of the maxillary lobe. The same maxillary cells also express Dfd protein. Expression is also detected in the hindgut, anterior and posterior midguts, proctodeum, and in a small patch of cells in the posterior compartments of the prothoracic and eighth abdominal segments.
