Description

Insertion lines from this collection were assessed for inclusion in the Gene Disruption Project collection.

A set of mutant stocks derived by insertional mutagenesis using the P-element construct P{PZ}; most lines have a lethal or sterile phenotype. The P{PZ} construct carries a ry[+] visible marker, Ecol\lacZ enhancer trap sequences, and bacterial sequences that allow plasmid rescue.

Reference

Expression is observed to the distal part of the wing disc in second instar larvae but is absent in distal A cells in which wg accumulates. When wg expression examds to the adjacent P cells, ds-lacZ expression becomes confined to a ring of cells around the wing pouch. In third instar larvae, expression expands to lateral regions of the prospective notum.

In third instar larva, expression in imaginal discs (which discs not specified).
