Description

Insertion lines from this collection were assessed for inclusion in the Gene Disruption Project collection.

(Bellen et al., 2004)

A set of mutant stocks derived by insertional mutagenesis using the P-element construct P{lacW}; most lines have a lethal or sterile phenotype. The P{lacW} construct carries a w^+mC mini-white visible marker, Ecol\lacZ enhancer trap sequences, and bacterial sequences that allow plasmid rescue (FBrf0049800).

Reference

In adult, expressed in the principal (type I) cells of the Malpighian tubules, highest expression in main segment, lower levels in the initial segment and the transitional segment. Expression not restricted to Malpighian tubules.

Ubiquitous expression observed, with particularly strong expression in epithelial tissue. Expression is detected in the Malpighian tubules, posterior adult hindgut, salivary glands, and cuticular sensillae; the uterus and female accesory glands also stain.
