moxMaple3 is a monomeric fluorescent protein that can be photoconverted from a green fluorescent form to a red fluorescent form upon UV illumination. It is designed for use in oxidizing cellular environments. The green fluorescent form has an excitation peak of 490nm and an emission peak of 506nm. The red fluorescent form has an excitation peak of 569nm and an emission peak of 584nm. moxMaple3 was derived by mutagenesis of mMaple3, containing the amino acid substitutions C110V, N111Q, C180A and N227D relative to mMaple3 (PMID:30283009).
