BacA:p35 corresponds to the caspase inhibitor encoded by the Autographa californica nucleopolyhedrovirus P35 gene (UniProtKB:P08160). BacA:p35 can be used as a tool to inhibit cell death; it prevents both normally occurring and experimentally induced cell death when expressed in transgenic Drosophila (FBrf0075011).
