NEMOm is a genetically encoded fluorescent Ca[2+] indicator with fast kinetics and a wide dynamic range. It is based on the mNeonGreen fluorescent protein, into which calmodulin and the calmodulin-binding M13 peptide have been inserted (with each sequence flanked by a short linker sequence), along with the addition of a nuclear export signal (followed by a linker) at the N-terminal end of the coding sequence (PMID:37081094).
