Description

Transgenic construct containing a reporter gene composed of the minimal BXD enhancer and Ubx proximal promoter fused upstream of lacZ. The 'hb-eve' fragment (five tandem copies of a hb protein-binding motif from the eve regulatory region) has been inserted in between the BXD enhancer and proximal promoter, to test for silencing activity.
