Description

Genomic DNA corresponding 7.5kb of the elav locus, including the ORF and 5.9kb of 5' sequences, with the insertion of a 12bp oligonucleotide between nucleotides 8650 and 8657, fused to 800bp of αTub84B trailer sequences. This mutation shortens the 74 amino acid ORF (downstream of ORF1) by 6 amino acids and splits the 131 amino acid ORF into a series of short ORFs.
