Description

The FRT cassette has been excised, allowing the Ubx promoter to drive expression of a coding cassette composed of GAL4 and lacZ (the two coding regions are separated by an internal ribosome entry site).

Designed for clonal analysis in wing disc and adult wing: ScerGAL4 expressed in cells that have lost the FRT.f[+] element; used for clonal analysis the gene of interest, when appropriate UAS construct present; clones are simultaneously marked by expression of EcollacZ in the imaginal disc and by f[-] phenotype in the adult wing. Stocks are attached to progenitor construct P{GAL4-lacZ-Ubx(FRT.f+).dC}; see ScerGAL4ScerFRT.Ubx elsewhere in this table.
