A 892bp fragment from the nonA regulatory region (which extends to 45bp downstream of the nonA transcription start site and 44bp upstream of the initiating nonA codon) is fused upstream sequence encoding a GAL4 driver. Some PIG-Q coding sequence is also present in the nonA regulatory sequence.
