Prosα6T-GFP becomes prominent in the cytoplasm and nuclei of 64-cell spermatid cysts. Signal persists in the elongated and condensed spermatid nuclei and also in spermatid tail bundles. It is seen in mature sperm heads and tails. Prosα6T-GFP is also found in speckles near the individualization complex.
Prosα6TT:AvicGFP-EGFP is expressed only in the testis, and is not expressed until after the second meiotic division. Expression continues through then end of spermatogenesis. Prosα6TT:AvicGFP-EGFP can be observed in the tails of mature sperm cells.
