The mir-100 seed sequence (AACCCGTAAATCCGA) has been deleted from the progenitor construct.

The P{W8,let-7-C[ΔmiR-100} construct rescues the locomotion, climbing, fertility and flight defects seen in Df(2L)let-7-CKO1/Df(2L)let-7-CGKI adults.

Df(2L)let-7-CKO1/Df(2L)let-7-CGKI adults rescued by the P{W8,let-7-CΔmiR-100} construct no longer show abnormal persistence of the dorsal internal oblique muscles (these muscles decay during post-eclosion maturation in wild-type animals) and no longer show defects in the dorsal muscles and their neuromuscular junctions.
