Drives expression in a subset of bitter-sensing neurons.

ScerGAL4Gr32a.3.7.PW drives expression in the following series of neurons. Larval gustatory receptor neuron of the epiphysis DP1, where it is coexpressed with ScerGAL4Gr33a.4.7, ScerGAL4Gr66a.1.8, ScerGAL4Gr93a.5, ScerGAL4Gr22b.5.8, ScerGAL4Gr39a.a.3.4, ScerGAL4Gr39b.4.4, ScerGAL4Gr9a.6.3, ScerGAL4Gr22d.3.1, ScerGAL4Gr22e.2.5, ScerGAL4Gr28b.a.3, ScerGAL4Gr39a.b.1, ScerGAL4Gr58b.1, and ScerGAL4Gr59d.4.1. Larval gustatory receptor neuron of the epiphysis DP2 where it is coexpressed with ScerGAL4Gr33a.4.7, ScerGAL4Gr66a.1.8, ScerGAL4Gr77a.4 and ScerGAL4Gr93b.5.3. Larval gustatory receptor neuron of the hypopharyngeal organ PP1 and PP2 where it is coexpressed with ScerGAL4Gr33a.4.7, ScerGAL4Gr66a.1.8, ScerGAL4Gr22b.5.8, ScerGAL4Gr39a.a.3.4, ScerGAL4Gr39b.4.4, ScerGAL4Gr39a.d.1.7, ScerGAL4Gr93c.3.8 and ScerGAL4Gr93d.2.4. Larval gustatory receptor neuron of the hypopharyngeal organ PP3 where it is coexpressed with ScerGAL4Gr33a.4.7, ScerGAL4Gr66a.1.8, ScerGAL4Gr28a.PT, ScerGAL4Gr22b.5.8, ScerGAL4Gr39a.a.3.4, ScerGAL4Gr39b.4.4, ScerGAL4Gr39a.d.1.7, ScerGAL4Gr93c.3.8 and ScerGAL4Gr93d.2.4.

ScerGAL4Gr32a.3.7.PW drives expression in adult abdominal multidendritic neurons with with dorsal processes extending along the left-right axis, as well as in multidendritic neurons with lateral processes extending anteroposteriorly; these major processes have several protruding dendrites. Expression is also observed in projections to the abdominal ganglion. ScerGAL4Gr32a.3.7.PW also drives expression in neurons innervating the male reproductive organs, mostly innervating the accessory gland; and in neurons innervating the female reproductive organs, mostly innervating the common oviduct, lateral oviducts, or ovaries.

ScerGAL4Gr32a.3.7.PW is expressed in the gustatory neurons of all of the bitter-sensitive short labellar taste bristles, and the gustatory neurons of all of the intermediate labellar taste bristles.

ScerGAL4Gr32a.3.7.PW is expressed in all of the short and intermediate bitter-sensitive sensilla of the labellum.

ScerGAL4Gr32a.3.7.PW drives expression in two gustatory receptor neurons of the larval terminal organ, one of these having its cell body in the dorsal organ ganglion (TO-dorsolateral group). The neuron of the TO-dorsolateral group also expresses ScerGAL4Gr33a.4.7, ScerGAL4Gr66a.1.8 and ScerGAL4Gr10a.3.7. The other terminal organ neuron co-expresses ScerGAL4Gr33a.4.7, ScerGAL4Gr66a.1.8, ScerGAL4Gr28b.e.4.245, ScerGAL4Gr39a.a.3.4, ScerGAL4Gr39a.b.1, ScerGAL4Gr59d.4.1, ScerGAL4Gr9a.6.3, ScerGAL4Gr22e.2.5, ScerGAL4Gr22a.4.2, ScerGAL4Gr28b.a.3, ScerGAL4Gr36b.0.9, ScerGAL4Gr36c.2.5, ScerGAL4Gr58b.1, ScerGAL4Gr59a.1.5, ScerGAL4Gr59c.5.5 and ScerGAL4Gr93b.5.3. Expression of ScerGAL4Gr32a.3.7.PW is also found in two neurons of the dorsal pharyngeal sense organ (DPS or epiphysis) and in two neurons of the posterior pharyngeal sense organ (PPS or hypopharyngeal sense organ).
