Expression of UAS- mCD8::GFP via Scer\GAL4Gr33a.4.7 confirmed that it is expressed in 12 GRN pairs. These 12 pairs are suggested to represent the entire set of larval bitter receptor neurons. They are: (i) two pairs B1 and B2 in the dorsolateral group of sensilla of the TO, (ii) four pairs C1-C4 in the distal group of TO sensilla, (iii) two pairs D1 and D2 in the DPS (epiphysis), (iv) two pairs E1 and E2 in the VPS (hypophysis), and (v) two pairs F1 and F2 in the PPS (hypopharyngeal organ).

Scer\GAL4Gr33a.4.7 drives expression in adult abdominal multidendritic neurons with with dorsal processes extending along the left-right axis, as well as in multidendritic neurons with lateral processes extending anteroposteriorly; these major processes have several protruding dendrites. Expression is also observed in projections to the abdominal ganglion.

Scer\GAL4Gr33a.4.7 is expressed in the gustatory neurons of all of the bitter-sensitive short labellar taste bristles, and the gustatory neurons of all of the intermediate labellar taste bristles.

Scer\GAL4Gr33a.4.7 is expressed in all of the short and intermediate bitter-sensitive sensilla of the labellum.

Scer\GAL4Gr33a.4.7 drives expression in 6 gustatory receptor neurons of the larval terminal organ, two of these having its cell body in the dorsal organ ganglion (TO-dorsolateral group). All 6 neurons co-express Scer\GAL4Gr66a.1.8. One of the neurons of the TO-dorsolateral group also expresses Scer\GAL4Gr10a.3.7 and Scer\GAL4Gr32a.3.7.PW. The other terminal organ neurons express different combinations of drivers. The first neuron expresses Scer\GAL4Gr32a.3.7.PW, Scer\GAL4Gr28b.e.4.245, Scer\GAL4Gr39a.a.3.4, Scer\GAL4Gr39a.b.1, Scer\GAL4Gr59d.4.1, Scer\GAL4Gr9a.6.3, Scer\GAL4Gr22e.2.5, Scer\GAL4Gr22a.4.2, Scer\GAL4Gr28b.a.3, Scer\GAL4Gr36b.0.9, Scer\GAL4Gr36c.2.5, Scer\GAL4Gr58b.1, Scer\GAL4Gr59a.1.5, Scer\GAL4Gr59c.5.5 and Scer\GAL4Gr93b.5.3. The second neuron co-expresses Scer\GAL4Gr39a.a.3.4, Scer\GAL4Gr57a.6, Scer\GAL4Gr59d.4.1, Scer\GAL4Gr47b.2 and Scer\GAL4Gr94a.3.7. The third neuron co-expresses Scer\GAL4Gr57a.6 and Scer\GAL4Gr97a.1. The fourth neuron expresses Scer\GAL4Gr39a.b.1 and Scer\GAL4Gr59d.4.1. Expression of Scer\GAL4Gr33a.4.7 is also found in two neurons of the dorsal pharyngeal sense organ (DPS or epiphysis), two neurons of the posterior pharyngeal sense organ (PPS or hypopharyngeal sense organ) and in two neurons of the ventral pharyngeal sense organ (VPS or hypophysis).
