Reference

ScerGAL4hec.PL drives expression in many neurons in the adult dorsal and central brain. Expression is strong in the neurons of the mushroom body alpha, beta and gamma lobes, in the ellipsoid body layers R1 and R2, fan-shaped body, noduli, protocerebral bridge and median bundle. In the mushroom body, the cells labeled with ScerGAL4hec.PL also express Pka-C1. Expression is also found in 6 glomeruli of the antennal lobe: DM3, DL3, DA1, VA1v, VA6 and VL2a. Two of these, DA1 and VA1v, are also labeled by ScerGAL4fru.P1.D.
