Description

Genomic fragment (derived from BAC clone CH322-155A11) containing the entire Lgr3 locus, in which the coding portion of the first Lgr3 exon has been replaced with sequence which encodes a GAL4::VP16 driver followed by the Hsp70 3'UTR.

ScerGAL4VP16.Lgr3 drives sexually dimorphic expression in the median bundle, where it is expressed more strongly and in more neurons in the female than in the male in pupae and adults, and in the abdominal neuromere. Expression overlaps completely with an Lgr3 antisense probe., except in the adult abdominal neuromere where the probe is expressed in a few more cells. Expression also overlaps with EcollexAfru.P1 and EcollexAGMR19B09 in females, but less so in males.
