Lethal in combination with T(Y;3)B197. This lethality is partially rescued by a single copy of OsbptAa. Although T(Y;3)B197/Df(3R)L16 is lethal, this combination no longer shows the cell cycle arrest phenotype described in FBrf0049898, presumably due to the accumulation of modifiers. It is therefore not possible to ascertain whether the cell cycle aspect of the phenotype of T(Y;3)B197/Df(3R)L16 animals is due to lack of Osbp.
Df(3R)L16/In(3LR)TM6B larvae have mitotically normal brains.
Practically lethal over asp in late larvae, with mitotic abnormalities of the brain identical to those of Df(3R)Su9/asp larvae; Df(3R)Su9/TM6B larval brains normal. Df(3R)L16/asp escapers are Minute, showing cuticular defects and male and female sterility.
