Comments

FBrst<up>+ w+ w+ rst+</up>; 6 polytene bands as inverted repeat

Comments on Cytology

Comprised of 6 polytene bands. Appears to be an inverted duplication of the 3 bands present in Tp(1;2)TE35B-SR100.

All limits from polytene analysis (citation unavailable)

Affected Genes Inferred by Location (0)
If no genes are listed here, it may be because the affected region is very large. The JBrowse insert above may show an error for the same reason, and other FlyBase tools such as CytoSearch may also fail for large regions. You can contact FlyBase for more help.
In these cases, there will be no "Export to Hitlist" button to the left.
    Phenotypic Data
    In combination with other aberrations

z1 w11E4 ; Tp(1;2)TE35B-SZ1/Tp(1;2)TE35B flies have zeste eyes with a crescent of red ommatidia along the posterior edge.

Variegating zeste/red eye colour in heterozygous combination with Tp(1;2)TE35B, zeste eye colour in heterozygous combination with Tp(1;2)TE35BC in a z1 w11E4 background.

NOT in combination with other aberrations

    Semi-lethal.

homozygous viable Eye color on a w- background genotype: suppressed by z1

    Other Comments

Cytology suggests that the 3 banded transposition is inverted.

Recovered as zeste eyed flies in a z1 w11E4 background. Tp(1;2)TE35B-SZ1 is noc-. Tp(1;2)TE35B-SZ2 was isolated as a cluster-sib of Tp(1;2)TE35B-SZ1, and appears to be identical to it.

    may be cluster-mate of Tp(1;2)TE35B-SZ2
