[50C6-50C6];[50D2-50D2];
A set of ~800 largely isogenic deficiency stocks created by FLP-induced recombination between FRT-carrying transgenic insertions; molecularly defined deletion endpoints correspond to initial location of the progenitor insertions. Designed to fill gaps in deletion coverage and breakpoint placement; also used to replace older available deficiencies that have not been molecularly mapped.

Breakpoint from FlyBase's release 5 sequence location of progenitor insertion.
Midline glia are present in Df(2R)BSC383 mutant stage 16 embryos but appear disorganised compared to wild type.
The presence of P+PBac{XP5.RB3}BSC383 was verified using the PCR methods and primers described in FBrf0175003 with the substitution of the primer 5'-CCAATGCGTTTATTTCAGGTCACG-3' for the RB3' plus or RB3' minus primer in the Hybrid PCR protocol in the Supplementary Methods.
The cytological breakpoints of Df(2R)BSC383 predicted from the Release 5 genomic coordinates of the PBac{RB}CG6347e00490 and P{XP}mamd01063 progenitor transposable element insertions sites are 50C6;50D2.
