A set of ~800 largely isogenic deficiency stocks created by FLP-induced recombination between FRT-carrying transgenic insertions; molecularly defined deletion endpoints correspond to initial location of the progenitor insertions. Designed to fill gaps in deletion coverage and breakpoint placement; also used to replace older available deficiencies that have not been molecularly mapped.

Breakpoint from FlyBase's release 5 sequence location of progenitor insertion.
Inferred to overlap with: Df(3L)BSC388.
The presence of P+PBac{XP5.RB3}BSC631 was verified using the PCR methods and primers described in FBrf0175003, with the substitution of the primer 5'-GCTTCTAAACGCTTACGCATAAACGATG-3' for the RB3' plus or RB3' minus primer in the Hybrid PCR protocol in the Supplementary Methods.
The cytological breakpoints of Df(3L)BSC631 predicted from the Release 5 genomic coordinates of the progenitor transposable elements PBac{RB}CG32373e00572 and P{XP}pbld06970 insertion sites are 66A10;66A19.
