cosV1/cosV5 females show duplication of the dorsal vaginal plate with an increment in the number of sensilla trichodea and loss of the ventral vaginal plate. The eighth tergite and vulva are reduced. Anal plates are abnormal. cosV1/cosV5 males show fusion of the lateral plates and the claspers. The hypandrium phragma is reduced.
Homozygotes and hemizygotes are viable and morphologically normal.
Pka-C1Cos-2, cosV5/cosV1 has visible phenotype
Pka-C1Cos-2, cosV5/cosV1 has leg phenotype
Pka-C1Cos-2 cosV1/cosV5 flies have abnormal legs. fuJ; Pka-C1Cos-2 cosV1/cosV5 flies show a cos phenotype in the thorax and legs.
Complements the lethal and viable cos alleles, unless flies are simultaneously heterozygous for "Cos" mutants.
Grau & Simpson.
Allelic series: cosV5 >= cosV4 = cosV1 >= cosV2 >= cosV3, based on the penetrance of wing duplications.
