Contains a 40bp partial P element insertion in the coding region of Dcp-1 and an in-frame stop codon within the 40bp insertion.
P{PZ}Dcp-102132 disrupts both Dcp-1 and pita.
The P{PZ}Dcp-102132 insertion affects both Dcp-1 and pita, which have overlapping transcription units.
Dcp-102132 mutant fat bodies display robustly induced autophagy in fed larvae, higher than in wild-type. The level of autophagy is increased upon starvation.
Mutant embryos show no abnormalities in the pattern of cell death.
Dcp-102132 is not rescued by Dcp-1t4.4
Dcp-102132 is not rescued by Scer\GAL4VP16.nanos.UTR/Dcp-1ΔN.UASp

P{PZ}Dcp-102132 disrupts both Dcp-1 and pita. Several phenotypes that were originally attributed to loss of Dcp-1 in the P{PZ}Dcp-102132 line, including melanotic tumors, small imaginal discs, and dumpless egg chambers, have since been shown to be due to disruption of pita (see FBrf0167648).
