Detailed Description

sd2; ctL32 and sd2; ct2s double heterozygotes display a visible cut wing phenotype.

Homozygotes exhibit gaps in the bristle row along most of the wing margin. Double mutant combinations with ct46l and ct53d have a more extreme phenotype than the sd2 homozygotes. sd2 enhances the wing margin phenotype of ctL32.

Weak nibbled wing margin phenotype and ectopic bristles are present on the wing veins.

Extreme allele; wings are small and scalloped, like vestigial at high temperature.

More extreme than sd. Wings small and scalloped. Like vg at high temperatures. Crossing over inhibited. RK2A?

Comments

sd2 mutants are more sensitive to ct wing margin enhancer deletions that gypsy insertions in ct.
