cue2 homozygotes and cue2/Df(3L)Ar14-8 flies exhibit a low sleep rebound following 12 hrs of sleep deprivation, compared to controls.

cue2 homozygotes show significantly reduced organismal triglyceride stores compared to controls.

Spermatocytes contain cytoplasmic abnormalities. Rare post-meiotic cysts are defective. Testis are short with a defective sheath. Females are semi-sterile, ovaries are small and misshapen. Phenotypes are more severe when in trans with a deficiency.
