Description

P{A92} insertion 99 nucleotides upstream of the transcriptional start site.

Insertion of a P{A92} element into the promoter region.

Insertion of P-element (containing a Ecol\lacZ gene and a ry gene) into emc, at chromosomal locus 61C-61D, 99bp upstream of the origin of transcription.

Additional Information
Statement
Reference

emc reporter expression is ubiquitous in the wing disc but two strong bands are seen in the anterior notum and in the area where the dorsocentral and postalar bristles will form. The domains of emc and h expression overlap in a band across the posterior notum. The emc and sr expression domains overlap in the anterior notum.

Detailed Description
Statement
Reference

emcP5c animals have a higher density of notal microchaetae, however these bristles still approximately align into rows as seen in wild-type.

Flies doubly homozygous for emcP5c and pydtam show a synergistic effect on the phenotype of emergence of extra bristles.
