Detailed Description
Statement
Reference

Bsgk13638/Df(2L)Exel7034 transheterozygotes are embryonic/early larval lethal.

Mosaic animals in which the eyes are homozygous for Bsgk13638 mostly show normal location of photoreceptor nuclei in the retina, although a few of the nuclei are displaced.

Bsgk13638/Bsg[+] is a suppressor | partially of eye phenotype of Nab2EP3716, Scer\GAL4GMR.PU

Additional Comments
Genetic Interactions
Statement
Reference

The phenotype of mild displacement of photoreceptor nuclei that is seen in the retina of mosaic animals in which the eyes are homozygous for Bsgk13638 is enhanced if the animals are also hemizygous for mysb45.

Comments

Bsgk13638/Df(2L)Exel7034 transheterozygote lethality is rescued through expression of BsgScer\UAS.cBa under the control of Scer\GAL4tub.

Expression of BsgΔextra.T:Rnor\CD2.Scer\UAS.T:Avic\GFP presynaptically (using Scer\GAL4elav-C155) fails to rescue defects in bouton size and number and only poorly rescues bouton growth defects in Bsgk13638/Df(2L)Exel7034 transheterozygotes.

Expression of BsgΔextra.Scer\UAS.T:Avic\GFP presynaptically (using Scer\GAL4elav-C155) fails to rescue defects in bouton size and number and only poorly rescues bouton growth defects in Bsgk13638/Df(2L)Exel7034 transheterozygotes.

Expression of BsgNGG.Scer\UAS.T:Avic\GFP presynaptically (using Scer\GAL4elav-C155) poorly rescues defects in bouton size and number in Bsgk13638/Df(2L)Exel7034 transheterozygotes.

Ubiquitous expression of BsgNGG.Scer\UAS.T:Avic\GFP under the control of Scer\GAL4tub does not significantly rescue the early lethality associated with Bsgk13638/Df(2L)Exel7034.

Expression of BsgΔintra.Scer\UAS.T:Avic\GFP presynaptically (using Scer\GAL4elav-C155) rescues defects in bouton size and number in Bsgk13638/Df(2L)Exel7034 transheterozygotes.
