Mushroom Body neuroblast clones composed of neurons homozygous for Hrb27Ck02814 exhibit ectopic extension of dorsal bundles. The proportion of MBs with axon overextension defects is higher in females than in males.
The eggs laid by Hrb27Ck02814 germ-line clone carrying females exhibit varying degrees of dorsalisation: least affect have widely spaced dorsal appendage and an enlarged operculum; intermediately affected have a single broad appendage that spans at least the width of the normal appendages; severely affected have a crown of appendage material that surrounds the anterior circumference of the egg. Most of the eggs laid are abnormally short.
The majority of Hrb27Ck02814 germline clones fail to develop beyond the early stages of oogenesis. The organisation and polarity of the oocyte cytoskeleton is somewhat abberant in these germline clones.
