Detailed Description

Flies expressing DdcScer\UAS.cTa under the control of Scer\GAL4ple.PF show normal temperature-preference behaviour.

DdcScer\UAS.cTa when driven by Scer\GAL4unspecified does not lead to ectopic pigmentation in adults.

Expression of DdcScer\UAS.cTa under the control of Scer\GAL4unspecified has no effect on adult pigmentation.

Flies co-expressing both DdcScer\UAS.cTa and pleScer\UAS.cTa under the control of Scer\GAL4ple.PF show abnormal temperature-preference behaviour; their avoidance index against high temperatures is only 39% of wild type.

Co-expressing pleScer\UAS.cTa and DdcScer\UAS.cTa under the control of Scer\GAL4hs.2sev leads to a more intense ectopic pigmentation phenotype than pleScer\UAS.cTa alone. The adult cuticle remains underpigmented.

DdcScer\UAS.cTa enhances the wing pigmentation phenotype and variably suppresses the abdominal pigmentation phenotype of flies expressing pleScer\UAS.cTa under the control of Scer\GAL4unspecified.
