Expression of apScer\UAS.cOa using Scer\GAL4how-24B leads to malformation of the abdominal lateral transverse muscles and loss of the segment border muscle.

Expression driven by Scer\GAL41151 in the IFMs disrupts their differentiation.

Flies expressing apScer\UAS.cOa under the control of Scer\GAL4ap-md544 show no wing defects.

Coexpression of the apScer\UAS.cOa transgene rescues the rudimentary wing phenotype of Scer\GAL4ap-md544>tupScer\UAS.cTa flies.

The loss of tarsal segment 4 in the legs of tupScer\UAS.cTa; Scer\GAL4ap-md544 flies is not suppressed by apScer\UAS.cOa. The loss of tarsal segment 4 in the legs of BScer\UAS.cKa; Scer\GAL4ap-md544 flies is suppressed by apScer\UAS.cOa.

Clones expressing apScer\UAS.cOa under the control of Scer\GAL4αTub84B.PZ induced in the first larval instar can rescue growth and differentiation vnL6/vnddd-4 wing discs.

Suppresses the wing defects caused by expression of ChiFL.Scer\UAS.T:Hsap\MYC under the control of Scer\GAL4ap-md544. Partially suppresses the wing defects caused by expression of ChiΔDD.Scer\UAS.T:Hsap\MYC under the control of Scer\GAL4ap-md544. Does not suppress the wing defects caused by expression of ChiΔLID.Scer\UAS.T:Hsap\MYC under the control of Scer\GAL4ap-md544.

Suppresses the wing phenotype of flies expressing tupΔHD.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4ap-md544.

Comments

Reduction and fusion of the fourth tarsal segment in apmd544/Df(2R)nap1 animals is rescued by apScer\UAS.cOa.

When expression is driven by Scer\GAL41151, partially rescues the the DFM loss phenotype of ap4 mutants (though a large single muscle mass develops as opposed to four discrete fibres) but does not rescue the IFM phenotype. When expression is driven by Scer\GAL4pnr-MD237, the DLM defects of ap4 mutants are significantly rescued while DFM fibres remain disorganised. Muscle volume is significantly restored.
