Expression of Scer\GAL4αTub84B.PL>ChiFL.Scer\UAS.T:Hsap\MYC completely prevents ectopic photoreceptor differentiation within Chi45F mutant clones, although it has no effect when expressed in wild-type eye discs.

Expression of ChiFL.Scer\UAS.T:Hsap\MYC under the control of Scer\GAL4pnr-MD237 causes lack of dorsocentral bristles compared to controls and a thoracic cleft. Expression under the control of Scer\GAL4Bx-MS1096 results in lack of either one or two bristles from the anterior pair of dorsocentral bristles.

In the legs of ChiFL.Scer\UAS.T:Hsap\MYC; Scer\GAL4Dll-md23 flies, tarsal segments four and five are fused, and no claw (unguis) develops.

When ChiFL.Scer\UAS.T:Hsap\MYC is driven by Scer\GAL4ap-md544, adults have wings that are small, unfused with a poorly demarcated margin.

Flies expressing ChiFL.Scer\UAS.T:Hsap\MYC under the control of Scer\GAL4ap-md544 show wing defects. The wings are small and lack regular structure and the wing margin is poorly demarcated.

Expression of ChiFL.Scer\UAS.T:Hsap\MYC with BxEP1306, both under the control of Scer\GAL4Ccap.PP, suppresses the wing expansion defect found upon expression of BxEP1306 alone.

Loss of the fourth tarsal segment in the legs of BxScer\UAS.cZa; Scer\GAL4ap-md544 flies is partially suppressed by ChiFL.Scer\UAS.T:Hsap\MYC. The loss of tarsal segment 4 in the legs of tupScer\UAS.cTa; Scer\GAL4ap-md544 flies is not suppressed by apScer\UAS.cOa or ChiFL.Scer\UAS.T:Hsap\MYC. The loss of tarsal segment 4 in the legs of BScer\UAS.cKa; Scer\GAL4ap-md544 flies is suppressed by ChiFL.Scer\UAS.T:Hsap\MYC.

The addition of SsdpL7 dominantly enhances the wing defects seen in Scer\GAL4ap-md544, Scer\GAL4ap-md544 mutants, leaving little or no organised wing tissue.

The wing phenotype of flies expressing ChiFL.Scer\UAS.T:Hsap\MYC under the control of Scer\GAL4ap-md544 is suppressed by co-expression of apScer\UAS.cOa.

Comments

Expression of Scer\GAL4αTub84B.PL>ChiFL.Scer\UAS.T:Hsap\MYC completely prevents ectopic photoreceptor differentiation within Chi45F mutant clones.

ChiFL.Scer\UAS.T:Hsap\MYC rescues the interneuron pathfinding errors seen in Chie5.5 embryos when expressed under the control of Scer\GAL4ap-md544.
