Stage 12 embryos expressing vndScer\UAS.cCa under the control of Scer\GAL4sca-537.4 show a reduction in the number of glial cells in the protocerebrum, deutocerebrum and tritocerebrum.
Expression of vndScer\UAS.cCa under the control of Scer\GAL469B results in the formation of extra ventral neuroblasts and extra ventral muscle founder cells in the embryo.
Embryos expressing vndScer\UAS.cCa under the control of Scer\GAL4sca-537.4 show duplications and occasionally triplications of GMC 1-1a-like and GMC 7-1a-like cells. Duplications and triplications of aCC/pCC neurons are seen at later stages. Deletions of RP2 are seen in 16% of hemisegments, while duplications of RP2 are seen in approximately 47% of hemisegments. Embryos expressing vndScer\UAS.cCa under the control of Scer\GAL4Kr.PM show duplications of U motor neurons. The RP2 neuron is often absent or its position is displaced. aCC/pCC neurons appear to be duplicated.
