Description

In addition to the point mutation reported in FBrf0133276, a second point mutation is present 31bp 'upstream' of the original missense mutation. This second change is a T to A nucleotide change that results a I to N amino acid substitution.

The mutation was originally reported to lead to a G120R amino acid change. That was based on the use of an upstream ATG start codon. Species conservation data and RNA-seq data support the use of a downstream AUG, in which case the amino acid change is predicted to be G98R for the Dredd-RE isoform.
