CycAδ1-53.Scer\UAS Scer\GAL4prd.RG1 extended germ band stage embryos have increased numbers of mitotic developing epidermal cells in expressing segments compared to non-expressing segments.

When two copies of CycAα1-53.Scer\UAS is driven by Scer\GAL4prd.RG1, significant mitotic delay (probably starting during metaphase) is observed. When CycAα1-31,39-44.Scer\UAS is driven by Scer\GAL4prd.RG1 a slight delay in mitosis 16 is seen. An extra S phase is detected (by BrDU incorporation) followed by an extra M phase. This division is aberrant.
