eye, with Scer\GAL4ey.PH
Pharate adults expressing prdScer\UAS.cJa under the control of Scer\GAL4ey.PH show a headless phenotype. Four classes of phenotype are seen; class I pharate adults lack all head structures derived from the eye-antennal discs, class II consists of eyeless flies which lack most head structures and both antennae, class III consists of eyeless animals with large parts of the head missing but one or both antennae present and class IV consists of animals in which most of the head and one or both eyes of reduced size are present.

prdUAS.cJa, prdmf9, Scer\GAL4mf9 rescues Df(2L)Prl/prd4
The addition of prdScer\UAS.cJa (driven by Scer\GAL4mf9) fully rescues the phenotypes seen in prd4/Df(2L)Prl animals partially rescued by a weakly expressing prdmf9 line.
