Description

Six copies of Tag:MYC are fused in-frame to the C-terminus of the homer full length cDNA LD03156 - the expression of the resulting protein is governed by UASt regulatory sequences.

Overexpression of homerScer\UAS.T:Hsap\MYC in the nervous system under the control of Scer\GAL4elav-C155 does not alter ethanol sensitivity nor does it alter rapid ethanol tolerance.

When expression is driven by Scer\GAL4elav-C155 no pathfinding errors occur in the embryonic ventral nerve cord.

Pan-neuronal expression of homerScer\UAS.T:Hsap\MYC restores the ethanol sensitivity and rapid tolerance phenotypes of homerR102 homozygous males to control levels.

Expression of homerScer\UAS.T:Hsap\MYC in various subsections of the brain under the control of Scer\GAL4c522, Scer\GAL4121Y, Scer\GAL4247, Scer\GAL4103Y, Scer\GAL4c107, Scer\GAL4Ilp2.PR, Scer\GAL4078Y, Scer\GAL4Aph-4-c232, Scer\GAL4c105, Scer\GAL4c481, Scer\GAL4lilli-189Y or Scer\GAL4c302 does not affect ethanol sensitivity in homerR102 mutant male flies.

Expression of homerScer\UAS.T:Hsap\MYC in the R2 and R4m Ring neurons of the ellipsoid body under the control of Scer\GAL4c819 or Scer\GAL4c42 results in significant rescue of the homerR102 ethanol sensitivity and rapid tolerance phenotype.
