Drives expression in the alpha and beta lobes of the mushroom body, and in a subset of ring neurons in the ellipsoid body.

ScerGAL4^lilli-189Y drives expression in about 18 ring neurons R3 at 7-8 days of age.

ScerGAL4^lilli-189Y in combination with ScerGAL80^Mef2.mb247 drives expression in five to six neurons that densely innervate the larval antennal lobe (AL). The cell bodies of labeled neurons are located in a cluster ventrolateral to the AL.

Local interneurons in which expression is observed are also strongly GABA immunoreactive and negative for serotonin, histamine, and octopamine immunoreactivity.

Expression is observed in the ellipsoid body and alpha and beta lobes of the mushroom body, and faintly in the gamma lobe of the mushroom body.
