slmb^9H4-17 mutant germline clones exhibit mislocalisation of stau protein and osk mRNA. By contrast, the localisation of bcd and grk is unaffected.

slmb^L.hs; slmb⁸/slmb^9H4-17 transheterozygous ovaries exhibit defects in stau localisation and in the organisation of epithelial follicle cells. Mutant egg chambers exhibit multiple cell layers.
