actin filament bundle & egg chamber
Expression of ActnRpS27A.PD results in the formation of a dense layer of actin fibers with some abnormally thick actin bundles in the egg chamber at stages 9 and 10A. At late stage 11, the dorsal appendage cells of ActnRpS27A.PD-expressing egg chambers produce prominent spikes, not seen in wild-type cells.
When ActnRpS27A.PD is expressed in a Scer\GAL4GR1>btl::EgfrScer\UAS.T:λ\cI-DD background, all basal actin fibers are of follicle cells are transformed into a single branched or unbranched F-actin bundle.
