Expression of NcdsRNA.Scer\UAS in a numbS52F background increases the number of ectopic neuroblasts.

Knockdown of Nc through expression of NcdsRNA.Scer\UAS significantly augmented numbS2D.Scer\UAS induced ectopic neuroblast formation. This enhancement is not due to prevention of neuroblast apoptosis, as the total number of TUNEL[+] cells in the central brain doesn't change.

Co-expression of mtsGD12133 and poloScer\UAS.N.T:Avic\GFP in the brain, under the control of Scer\GAL4Dll-md23, results in a 25% increase of ectopic neuroblasts. Co-expression of NcdsRNA.Scer\UAS in flies expressing mtsGD12133 and poloScer\UAS.N.T:Avic\GFP in the brain, under the control of Scer\GAL4Dll-md23, increases ectopic neuroblast formation by approximately 25%.
