UASt regulatory sequences drive expression of a 9.0kb PstI-SalI drl cDNA fragment ligated to a Tag:MYC tag. It encodes the first 295 amino acids of the drl protein linked to the Tag:MYC tag epitope by an isoleucine residue.

Expression of drlΔintra.Scer\UAS.T:Hsap\MYC in homozygous drlunspecified MARCM projection neuron clones induced in a drlunspecified/+ background fails to rescue the dendrite targeting defects of these clones.

Expression of drlΔintra.Scer\UAS.T:Hsap\MYC under the control of Scer\GAL4repo.PU partially rescues the antennal lobe defects of drl2 adults: both midline defects and targeting defects are partially rescued.
