Expression of dallysec.Scer\UAS.T:Hsap\MYC under the control of Scer\GAL4C587 has no effect on germline stem cell number in the female germaria.

Ectopic expression of dallysec.Scer\UAS.T:Hsap\MYC induces the phenotypes listed below, depending on the Scer\GAL4 driver. The percentages of animals showing each phenotype is given. Expression with the ubiquitous Scer\GAL429BD driver causes: giant larvae - 100%, giant pupae large imaginal wing discs. Expression in the wing and haltere discs with Scer\GAL4A9 causes: defective eclosion - 43%, folded wings - 17%, wing overgrowth - 100%, enlargement of the costa in the wing hinge thick wing veins, mainly in the anterior - 100%, ectopic wing veins, mainly in the anterior - 100%, extra notal bristles - 78%. Expression in the wing pouch with Scer\GAL471B causes: thick wing veins, mainly in the anterior - 100%, ectopic wing veins, mainly in the anterior - 100%. Expression along the anterior-posterior compartment boundary with Scer\GAL4dpp.blk1 causes: extra notal bristles - 60%, folded wings - 17%, thick wing veins - 100%, ectopic wing veins - 100%. Expression in the posterior compartment with Scer\GAL4hh-Gal4 causes: thick wing veins, mainly in the anterior - 100%, ectopic wing veins, mainly in the anterior - 100%, extra notal bristles - 85%. Expression in the posterior compartment with Scer\GAL4en-e16E causes: thick wing veins, mainly in the anterior - 100%, ectopic wing veins, mainly in the anterior - 100%. Expression of dallysec.Scer\UAS.T:Hsap\MYC, under the control of Scer\GAL429BD, does not change the cell and tissue size of the salivary gland in third instar larvae.

chico1/+; dallysec.Scer\UAS.T:Hsap\MYC/Scer\GAL429BD and Pten1/+; dallysec.Scer\UAS.T:Hsap\MYC/Scer\GAL429BD pupae show the same large pupae and disordered wing patterning phenotype as wild-type animals expressing dallysec.Scer\UAS.T:Hsap\MYC under the control of Scer\GAL429BD. Likewise, tkv4 and dppd12 heterozygosity does not reduce animal size when dallysec.Scer\UAS.T:Hsap\MYC is driven by Scer\GAL429BD. When both ptcScer\UAS.cJa and dallysec.Scer\UAS.T:Hsap\MYC are expressed under the control of Scer\GAL4A9, the dallysec.Scer\UAS.T:Hsap\MYC large body phenotype is suppressed, but the ptcScer\UAS.cJa wing phenotype remains.
