paralytic | adult stage (with Csas21)
paralytic | adult stage (with Df(3L)XS2182)
CsasMB04236 mutant flies are homozygous viable, without any noticeable morphological defects. However, the flies appear to be weak and short-lived, with flies living 43% less time compared with wild type controls.
CsasMB04236 mutant flies are paralysed at elevated temperatures, with the onset of paralysis being within 3-7 minutes at 38[o]C.
CsasMB04236/Csas21 mutant flies are paralysed at elevated temperatures.
CsasMB04236/Df(3L)XS2182 mutant flies are paralysed at elevated temperatures.
No significant difference is detected in the resting membrane potential of muscle cells between CsasMB04236 mutant and wild type larvae. Evoked Excitatory Junctional Potential (EJP) amplitude is reduced in CsasMB04236 mutant larvae compared to wild type. The miniEJP is unaffected.
CsasMB04236/Df(3L)XS2182 mutant flies show locomotor defects; they take an increased amount of time to right themselves when momentarily knocked down by a gentle agitation.
CsasMB04236/Df(3L)XS2182 has abnormal locomotor behavior phenotype, enhanceable by SiaTS23/SiaTL22
CsasMB04236 has paralytic | adult stage phenotype, enhanceable by para[+]/parats1
CsasMB04236 has paralytic | adult stage phenotype, enhanceable by paralk5/para[+]
CsasMB04236, paralk5/para[+] has paralytic | adult stage phenotype, suppressible | partially by Dp(1;4)r+l
CsasMB04236 has paralytic | adult stage phenotype, suppressible by Dp(1;4)r+l
CsasMB04236 has paralytic | adult stage phenotype, suppressible | partially by sei1/sei[+]
CsasMB04236/Df(3L)XS2182 is an enhancer of abnormal locomotor behavior phenotype of SiaTS23/SiaTL22
Csas[+]/CsasMB04236 is a suppressor of paralytic | adult stage phenotype of sei1
ST6GalL22/ST6GalS23 enhances the locomotor defects seen in CsasMB04236/Df(3L)XS2182 mutant flies. The time taken for flies to right themselves after being knocked over is extended compared to either mutant alone.
One copy of parats1 enhances the paralysis phenotype seen in homozygous CsasMB04236 mutant flies at elevated temperatures. Onset of paralysis occurs earlier than in CsasMB04236 mutants alone.
One copy of paralk5 enhances the paralysis phenotype seen in homozygous CsasMB04236 mutant flies at elevated temperatures. Onset of paralysis occurs earlier than in CsasMB04236 mutants alone. This enhancement is suppressed in the presence of a para duplication (Dp(1;4)r+l).
The presence of one copy of Dp(1;4)r+l partially suppresses the paralytic phenotype seen in homozygous CsasMB04236 mutant flies. The time taken for paralysis to occur at elevated temperatures is increased compared to CsasMB04236 alone.
One copy of sei1 partially suppresses the paralytic phenotype seen in CsasMB04236 mutant flies in response to elevated temperatures.
One copy of CsasMB04236 partially suppresses the paralytic phenotype seen in sei1 mutant flies in response to elevated temperatures.
CsasMB04236/Df(3L)XS2182 is rescued by CsasUAS.Tag:FLAG
Expression of CsasScer\UAS.T:Zzzz\FLAG (without a GAL4 driver) rescues the paralysis, locomotor phenotypes and defects in EJP amplitude seen in CsasMB04236/Df(3L)XS2182 mutant flies at elevated temperatures. Increasing Ca[2+] concentration is also able to rescue the neurophysiology phenotype.
Excision of the Mi{ET1} element restores the longevity defects.
