Flies expressing BRWD3GD10174 under the control of Scer\GAL4ey-OK107 exhibit a rough eye phenotype.

When BRWD3GD10174 is expressed under the control of Scer\GAL4ppk.PU the class IV dendritic arborization (da) sensory neurons have fewer dendritic branches compared with controls.

Expression of BRWD3GD10174 under the control of Scer\GAL4dpp.PU results in impaired development of the arista.

Adults expressing BRWD3GD10174 under the control of Scer\GAL4elav.PLu (in the presence of Dcr-2Scer\UAS.cDa to increase the efficiency of RNAi) do not show a significant defect in avoidance of noxious temperature (46[o]C) compared to control flies.

Expression of BRWD3GD10174 under the control of Scer\GAL4elav.PLu (in the presence of Dcr-2Scer\UAS.cDa to increase the efficiency of RNAi) results in viable flies or partial lethality, depending on the particular P{GD10174} insertion line used.

Depending on the insertion line used, expression under the control of Scer\GAL4Mef2.PR can result in viable flies or early pupal lethality.
